My inspiration for making this Brooch was to try and capture the delicate features of the Flower, while being durable to everyday wear and tear. I love intricate detail and as with all my Designs I wanted to create a one off piece of Artwork.
Snowdrops are herbaceous plants, which grow from bulbs and are one of the most popular. They are found growing in woodlands, meadows,pastures, amongst scrub, near rivers and on stony slopes.. Their appearance in January is traditionally seen to be the end of Winter & the first sign of Spring.
Their Latin name is Galanthus, which means Milk Flower.....
This unique piece of Artwork, is a beautiful delicate and feminine Brooch, that would make the owner stand out in a crowd.
It would make a Unique Gift for any Woman, to mark any occasion or celebration and will perhaps become an Antique of the Future........

Individually Designed, Handmade and Hand Painted Clay Flower Jewellery by myself -Artist- KERRY WILLIAMS. ( I sign each piece of Jewellery on the back ).
Herald the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring with this Brooch. A symbol of "Birth".
You are looking at a variation of one, of my most popular Designs- The SNOWDROP AND LEAVES BROOCH- Lapel Flower Pin.
Each piece of Jewellery is Individually Designed, Handmade and Hand Painted. No moulds are used. EACH ITEM IS TOTALLY UNIQUE. The material used is a very refined modelling Clay-- A Porcelain substitute. It fires a lot stronger than Porcelain, so intricate & fine detail can be used without it becoming too fragile! It also fires very light...... so size is not restricted to a small sculpture and large Designs can be produced.
Exquisite, realistic detail, beautifully painted.
Silver Gilt Brooch Bar-Back. With locking safety clasp.
Approximate size 5 cm (2 inches) across and 4 cm ( 1 3/4 inches) down.
Washable.
Supplied in an elegant black presentation box, with a black velvet insert.
NOTE- THIS BROOCH IS MADE TO ORDER, SO IT WILL BE SIMULAR, BUT A UNIQUE PIECE OF ARTWORK!
This will look lovely on a lapel of a jacket, scarf,dress and even on a hat.
