Full description
This Spalted Beech wooden yarn bowl has been made from local wood. The patterns of the spalting that run throughout the wood are truly beautiful and make this bowl totally unique. The size is of the bowl is suitable for any yarn. Not only is this bowl practical it makes a lovely display piece too.
After turning, the bowl has been sanded beautifully smooth then multiple coats of finishing oil have been applied. When dry, it has been waxed and buffed to a beautiful sheen that allows the yarn to glide unhindered around the inside of the bowl. The smooth feel to the bowl is very tactile making it lovely to stroke as well!
