Full description
Delicately pretty - hand knitted lace, in a very fine kid mohair yarn, has been used as a background on which to embroider a garland of roses. A gift to be treasured!
The background of this cuff has been hand knitted in a whisper-fine mohair yarn using a lace stitch for textural interest. The stitch chosen results in pretty scalloped edges to the cuff. The central part of the background has been backed by a grey felt to give a slightly firmer foundation for the embroidery. The roses have been stitched, using ribbon embroidery techniques, in a sheer, organza ribbon, in lemon. Tapestry wools have been used to stitch additional roses, rose buds, and leaves.
The cuff is lined with a yellow ribbon. The cuff closes with a button-hole-stitch loop over an lemon vintage button.
Length of knitted panel: 23 cm approx.
Length of cuff (with button as set) : to fit an average 7.5 inch (19 cm) wrist
Items of embroidered jewellery may not be entirely colourfast and care should be taken that jewellery items do not get wet in use in case colour should be transferred to items of clothing.
