My inspiration for making this Brooch was to try and capture the delicate features of the Flower, while being durable to everyday wear and tear. I love intricate detail and as with all my designs I wanted to create a "one off" piece of Art work.
Snowdrops are herbaceous plants, which grow from bulbs and are one of the most popular. They are found growing in woodlands, meadows,pastures, amongst scrub, near rivers and on stony slopes.. Their appearance in January is traditionally seen to be the end of Winter & the first sign of Spring.
Their Latin name is Galanthus, which means Milk Flower.....

You are looking at a variation of one, of my most popular Designs the "Birth Flower"-The Snowdrop Stick Pin
Each piece of Jewellery is Individually Designed, Handmade and Painted. No moulds are used. Each Item is totally Unique. The material used is a very refined modelling Clay. A Porcelain substitute. It fires a lot stronger than Porcelain, so intricate & fine detail can be used without it becoming to fragile. It also fires very light, so size is not restricted to a small sculpture & large Designs can be produced.
Exquisite, realistic detail, beautifully hand painted.
Stickpin is Silver Plated- Size- 3.5 cm (1 1/2 inches).
Approximate size 3.5 cm ( 1 1/2 inches) across and 3.5 cm ( 1 1/2 inches ) down.
NOTE- THIS BROOCH IS HANDMADE TO ORDER, SO IT WILL BE SIMULAR, BUT A UNIQUE PIECE OF ARTWORK.
Washable.
Supplied in a presentation box.
This will look lovely on a lapel of a jacket, scarf,dress and even on a hat.
