Everyone seems to like dunlin and they are good subjects as I can made them life size in profile. Although rarely seen in their breeding plumage in this country except for a few pairs on Dartmoor, I love the strong russet tones that make them so striking.

Full description
Two hand carved and painted dunlin in summer plumage mounted on driftwood. They are painted with artists acrylics, have hand coloured glass eyes and are finished to a soft shine with wax.
The piece is 32cm wide, 13cm tall and 6cm deep approx. making it suitable for a narrow shelf.
