I wanted to create an elegant and stylish design in a contrasting and eye-catching medium. The Art Deco style and the stained black veneer on the light beech backing achieve this perfectly.

Full description
This is a very elegant and stylish box ideal for storing jewellery items and other small treasures.
It has a concealed magnetic catch and hinges for the lid. I have made this from solid beech using mitres for the corner joints.
The lid is decorated with an Art Deco style silhouette of a lady`s head using marquetry veneers.
Inside the box is fully lined with removable partitions so the box could store a range of items.
The box is finished with hard wearing polyurethane varnish and wax polished to give a very smooth matt finish.
