The technique makes each scrolled piece an individual item that cannot be duplicated. Scrolling exploits the nature of the enamels and pits the designer against the materials - working at red hot on a material that is cooling as quickly as it can means you get what it allows you to have. Each piece is a challenge. There is an added challenge in doing this work at this small scale.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
This scrolled glass enamel brooch has a patterning made by drawing a steel tip through the enamel while it is in the kiln at red hot; it has been counter-enamelled to balance the expansion and contraction of the worked surface through numerous firings; the brooch bar is 20mm with a rotating lock, soldered to the piece.
The brooch is sold boxed, as shown.
UK postage is by 1st class, signed for.
