The traditional Christmas song, The Twelve Days of Christmas was the inspiration for the design. The combination of the unpredictable quality of watercolour and the texture of the thick watercolour paper resulted in the speckled effect of the hens' feathers.

Full description
A pack of 5 x A6 (148 x 105 mm approximately) cards with white envelopes, carefully wrapped in a cello sleeve and posted to you in a sturdy board-backed mailer.
The hens were painted in watercolour, with details added in ink. Inside, the words 'merry christmas' were written in a contemporary calligraphy style using a traditional dip pen. The background is a soft white.
The cards have been printed on FSC 300 gsm card to provide you with a smooth surface for your own Christmas message.
