Really excited to be listing some gorgeous freestanding pieces of fused glass art, inspired by the place I'm lucky enough to live - Bristol! As well as Bristol Houses and Bristol Balloons, there are a couple of stunning textured waves - let me know what you think!
Allow me to introduce you to Lola, the Ladybird. She loves the colours of the rainbow, the sound of the leaves rustling in the trees, and the scent of freshly cut grass. Lola was a prize winning flier in her time, but she has retired from racing now, to concentrate on making the world a happier place (I know, I know, she has high aspirations, but you can't fault her for trying!). She believes that the more people smile, the happier they will be, so she is on a mission to collect as many smiles as possible. Lola's shiny red wing cases are a great source of pride for her, as are her glossy black spots.
Lola measures approximately 3 cm by 3 1/2 cm, and though her body is around 1 cm deep, her glossy spots stand proud of her body by about another 1/2 cm, as do her eyes (but please don't mention to her that I said her eyes stick out - she would be so offended...).
The silver plated brooch back or neodymium magnet will be securely glued to Lola's back with specialist adhesive. The magnets are strong - like 8 sheets of A4 to the fridge strong!
The nature of the materials and processes involved to create Lola mean that she is unique, and although Lola has been carefully annealed for durability, she is still made of glass so please handle with care!
