In cool winter months I spend a lot of time curled up on the sofa knitting, sheltering from the cold with a blanket and a pot of tea. It’s my favourite! Something that was missing from this tranquil scene was a cute basket to store my WIPs by the sofa. I’ve filled this void by designing a chunky basket that’s perfect for the job! I designed it with knitting in mind, but frankly it could store anything — kindling by the fireplace, or even fruit on the dining table!

Full description
Super funky storage for your home, this modern knitted basket is perfect for storing yarns, knitting projects, or anything you please! The jersey yarn is durable and self-supporting, so can be styled upright, or with a folded brim.
This pattern uses a seamless construction, with provisional cast on and kitchener stitch to graft closed. The shaping is created using short rows in garter stitch.
Materials:
- 1 cone of jersey yarn
- Scrap yarn of similar weight
- 10mm (US 15) knitting needles
- Crochet hook of similar size
- Darning needle
- Scissors
Height x circumference: 18cm x 18cm
