With added pressures in life sometimes people can get a bit down.
I was thinking of single parents and kids with exam pressures and I thought of a character like a juggler, that tries to keep millions of balls in the air at one time,
I'm trying to develop my drawing this year so I came up with this character.(I can't draw faces so I cheat and used a gorgeous image of a vintage lady)
She is a juggler from a circus, around her she has positive sentiment like DON'T GIVE UP and KEEP GOING, whilst trying to keep all the balls in the air. When I was little I recall seeing someone on tv who was learning to juggle and he had on this amazing outfit supported by braces that caught the balls that were dropped. I turned this idea into something a bit more glamorous, her gorgeous tutu style skirt has been fanned out to make a sturdy catching area for any of the balls she drops.
I tried to make a card that show support, and thought it would be an ideal card to send to someone that's going through a tough time.
My juggler image has been water coloured by hand in shades of green and sepia to give an old fashioned feel and I've added some shimmer to some details on her hat and dress.
The DL card is 4x8" and blank inside. I will post it in a do not bend envelope.
I plan on making this as a birthday card without the positive sentiments, so please let me know if you would be interested.
