This little cutie with the sweet face is a folk style rag doll made in the traditional way and she is super quick and easy to make from discarded scraps of fabric. The Sarah Rag Doll design is based on the Raggedy Ann illustrations from the early 1900's when homemade rag dolls were necessarily designed to use very little fabric. The resulting lanky dolls are considered by many to have a sweet charm of their own and I aimed to capture this and reflect it in my own design.
The Sarah Rag Doll can be made safe for small children by painting or embroidering the facial features rather than using buttons. A unique and personalised rag doll will provide a cherished keepsake for many years to come and you may even find them just as popular with the adults!
This digital pattern will contain all the same information as our paper patterns presented in A4 portrait format ready to be printed at home. Once purchase is complete your pattern will be emailed to your PayPal email address, or the email address supplied by you during checkout, within 1 working day.
