Full description
Special order- large mohair Airedale Terrier.
A large mohair Airedale Terrier on vintage Meccano wheels made from a beautiful gingery mohair and stuffed firmly in a more traditional way, using a mixture of wood wool and toy stuffing. The underside of his ears and feet are gently dyed and sanded to add to his vintage appearance.
He has traditional amber glass eyes and is finished with a little hand-made leather collar. He stands about 11” / 28cm tall on his old Meccano wheels, and measures about 12.5” / 32cm from his little black nose to his tail. His ‘pull-along’ rope has a big old rusty bell attached.
He is one of my own designs and was stitched on my old 1920’s Singer treadle sewing machine.
