Item details

My birds are created from glass by Bullseye especially made for the kiln. I fire my glass from anything between 677C to 810C depending on the effect I require. This little orange bird is tack fused so that I can keep the mosaic like texture and tactile feel.
Each piece is individually cut to create pattern form and flow.
This bird has a ribbon so that it can be hung in a window or on a wall.
Size 11cm by 9cm I can create this bird in other colours

This little bird was inspired by the cheeky little sparrows flitting about my garden. My birds are created by sense and colour depending on how I feel on any given day or season.

I have been working in mosaic now for over 20 years and using hot glass for about 5 years I really love the experience of combining the two media.
