Full description

Bertie Rooster is a proud father, with a little chick and egg to look after. This knitting pattern includes the pattern to make Bertie and his family. Bertie’s legs are strengthened with wire so that he can stand up, but you can make your rooster with floppy legs if you prefer. Bertie is approximately 28cm high

About the pattern …

The knitting pattern includes a list of abbreviations and step by step construction details with photos to help you. The pattern is written in English. All pieces are knitted flat on straight needles. This pattern is for the intermediate knitter, and incorporates fairisle knitting.

The knitting patterns will be sent to you by email as a pdf file and I endeavour to send your pattern to you within 24 hours of cleared payment.

To make your toy you will need this pattern and …

- Less than 50g of double knitting yarn in grey, and less than 50g in white

- 25g of double knitting yarn in each colour: yellow and red

- 4mm straight knitting needles (US size 6)

- Approximately 100g of toy filling

- Black beads or toy safety eyes

- White and orange felt for chick beak and eyes

- Tapestry or darning needle to sew the pieces together

- Optional: a pipe cleaner or chenille stem to strengthen the rooster's legs.
