I love ceramics ... their feel, their texture, the sense of warmth and comfort that fills me every time I touch them ... I love the forms they can be shaped into ... the way they gently warm when used to hold food ....... and I absolutely adore my coffee out of one of my own handmade mugs ... a cake from a little ceramic plate ... mulled wine from my own goblets ... Full description

Glazed in shades of white and blue reminiscent of sea, sand and sky and finished with 4 coal tits around its base, the mug is made of strong stoneware clay with a high iron content which produces burnt orange shading especially along the rim and throwing rings. Slight unevenness of glaze and/or form is evidence that the mug is handmade and adds to its rustic charm.

The 4 coal tit images were produced by Zanna - zannaallenillustration.co.uk. Fired onto the mug at over 800 degrees centigrade, they will not fade or mark in any way.

Food-safe and dishwasher-proof.

Height approx. 9cm, capacity approx. 150 ml.

PACKAGING

I package all ceramics carefully with plenty of bubble-wrap inside a sturdy box. If intended as a present, I will happily gift-wrap and send them direct complete with a card if desired. Just let me know during checkout.
