Full description
Striking red poppies and ears of golden corn contrast with the felted background of this embroidered brooch.
Naturally died silk and mohair fibres are combined with merino wool, in the felt which forms the background to this brooch. The poppies and corn are embroidered in various cottons with the poppies in the foreground embroidered in sheer ribbon. The brooch is stiffened with plastic cut from a recycled bottle. Blue and green, loosely spun wool is bound round the edge of the brooch to frame the design.
The back of the brooch is neatened with felt and a brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
