I love felting and embroidering poppy scenes. I have stitched them on a number of items. No two compositions are ever the same

Full description
An pretty field of poppies, stitched onto a felted background, forms this plaque.
The background of this plaque has been created by felting hand-dyed pale wool fibres into a piece of commercial felt. Tiny poppies and daisies have been hand embroidered using threads and wool.
The plaque is edged in blanket stitch using pale blue and green yarns to tone with the colours used in the background of the plaque.
The plaque is stiffened by a central core of a recycled CD. The back of the plaque is neatened with commercial felt and a hanging loop, of button-hole stitch in cotton, is securely stitched in place.
Height (excluding hanging loop) - 13 cm approx.
I have done my best to photogrpah this item accurately but monitor settings may cause variation in colour.
Please note this plaque may not be washed. Easel not included.
