Hand sculpted form a ball of stoneware clay, these little bowls are sculptural representations of birds' nests decorated with pale blue wild bird eggs and a handpainted downy feather.
With scrafitto and handpainted decoration, every one of these bowls forms a unique object for enjoying on its own as a sculpture, or to hold tiny treasures.
Bowls currently in stock are decorated with 3 eggs and one single feather.
Not for use with food.
The exterior of the bowl has been impressed with an abstract rippling effect to represent woven twigs and has a stamp of my maker's mark. The clay has been left unglaed.
The interior has been painted with porcelain slip and transparent glaze.
From 9-11cm across the top, approx 3cm at deepest point.
