Dress making patterns always tell you that you need more fabric than you really do but then I hate to see fabric go to waste... and I recently went on a sewing weekend where I learnt more about quilting. This was the result!

Full description
Measuring just 60 x 80 cm this delightful quilt is made up of 12 squares in a mixture of tiny floral cotton prints and at least 2 cream poly cottons from my stash of leftover fabrics from dressmaking projects. Slightly smaller than the average cot quilt I feel it is more suitable for a crib, Moses basket or pram. Each square was constructed and quilted before being joined together with narrow strips of another print front and back. The wadding is very lightweight polyester.
