A tiny bird with a tail as long as his body. Dusty pink with black and white stripy wings and tail. He is architecturally minded. Creating sphrical nests from feathers and spiders silk. With a final coat of lichen.

Full description

This Brooch is made by collaging old tins that I collect. Which means that each one is individual. I have a large collection of tins and sift through them all to find the right colours. I try and pick colours as close as possible to the bird. In this case a long Tailed Tit which has dusty pink cheeks with black strips and a dirty white body.

The centre is walnut wood, with a silver backing, which the tins are riveted to.

I have handmade the brooch pin in Sterling Silver.

The brooch comes in a recycled grey jewellery box with my name on it. And a tag with information on the bird.

Dimensions Bird: 57mm x 25mm x 2.5mm
