Full description
This necklace features wonderful warm grey agate, carnelian with its marmalade shades and a pretty focal gemstone of Botswana agate with its bands of greys and orange.
The grey agates in the necklace are a wonderful marquise shape which are bevelled, so move on the neckline when worn. Each stone is separated by tiny sterling silver beads and every two agates I have added a lovely rich orange carnelian button shaped bead.
The necklace closes with a high quality sterling silver magnetic clasp, which has a soft satin finish. Pregnant ladies and people fitted with electronic medical devices are not advised to wear magnets.
The focal stone mirrors the shape of the grey agate gems in the 48cm approx. long necklace. Both sides of the pendant stone have slightly different patterns, so can be worn either way round. It drops 5cm from the necklace, from a hand finished and polished sterling silver bail. The bail and magnetic clasp are stamped 925 for sterling silver.
The necklace has been hand knotted for durability and flexibility. The stones have been hand cut and drilled, so all vary in size and shape ever so slightly, with one or two having enlarged beading holes. This does not detract from the necklace in any way but I mention it only to be thorough.
