This particular item is sold but I do have another, due to the unique nature of leaves it is different. I think nicer but due to lack of sunlight I haven't had a chance to photograph it.
This necklace has been made from a unique Ivy leaf that has had a replica made in fine (99%) silver using a paste with an organic binder.
The leaf has then been polished to a high shine and drilled. I have set it with 4 pieces of green sea glass in 2 shades and silver beads. The necklace has then been attached to a fine sterling silver trace chain with a silver lobster clasp.
The leaf is about 5cm x 4.5 cm. The necklace altogether is 50 cm or 19 inches.
The glass is from Seaham in County Durham, where a lot of English sea glass comes from. There was a bottle factory there which used to dump into the sea, now much of this is collected and used for jewellery and crafts. The factory closed over 100 years ago.
All silver is European standard from a bullion dealer in Birmingham.
Items will normally be packaged in bubble wrap, tissue paper and a beautiful organza bag, with a few dried rose petals then in a padded envelope. I am happy to include a card or box if it is for a gift.
Thanks for looking.
