SilverLily Jewellery is careful to find 14 carat gold filled and above, these high quality gold-filled pieces have the same appearance as 14 karat (58%) gold and are a brilliant alternative to pure & more valuable carat gold.
It is important to know the differences between Gold Filled jewellery and Gold Plated when making your choice. Solid gold is of course an exquisite piece of jewellery. Gold filled is the next level and is an amazing, quality alternative to solid gold being filled literally with 100% more gold than gold plating, therefore the gold layer is usually 50 to 100 times thicker as compared to what is on a gold plated item.
