The inspiration for this series of paintings came from wanting to expand my horizons from pet portraits on to something more wild and untamed. I was also experimenting with watercolour washes and managed to achieve some really interesting effects in the background, with cloud and lichen-like textures, where the colours that go to make the wash naturally separate back into their component colours once on the paper, giving hints of blue and umber.

GREY WOLF - an ACEO print of one of my more popular original works. This was one of a series of four wolf themed ACEOs painted at around the same time - reproductions of the rest of the series are also available here on Folksy. The original miniature watercolor portrait was painted on heavy grade watercolour paper. This quality reproduction is printed on acid-free archival matte paper using archival inks. This means that the colours should remain true for 100 years framed behind glass out of direct sunlight, or 200 years displayed in an album. Each print is signed on the reverse and will come with its' own certificate of authenticity.
It is protected with a plastic sleeve and will be mailed in a card backed envelope to make sure it gets to you in perfect condition.
