I'm on maternity leave, enjoying my 2 beautiful newborn twins :) :) My Folksy shop will be closed for most of the summer 2018. During this time my work is still available through my stockists listed on my website www.thewaytoblue.co.uk. Best wishes, Sarah x
Delighting in the intricacies of nature this candle holder captures the delicate wonders of Honesty seed heads.
This unique candle holder is created using the old photographic process of Cyanotype. A light sensitive solution is applied to mulberry paper, the honesty seed heads laid on then exposed to sunlight, the solution is then rinsed off and the paper dried, fixing the image. To make these candle holders the paper is then applied to glass. The thinness of the paper allows the light to shine through the image.
8cm diameter, 9cm height. Tea light included.
Please note each candle holder is unique and hand-made to order. Due to the nature of the cyanotype process the blues may vary. (I'm sorry but the rather lovely wooden display stand is not included.)

A desire to capture the beauty and wondrous intricacy of nature in a unique, contemporary way. To bring some of our visual delight from the outdoors in. Capturing the delicate translucency of Honesty seed heads.
