The inspiration for this series of paintings came from wanting to expand my horizons from pet portraits on to something more wild and untamed. I was also experimenting with watercolour washes and managed to achieve some really interesting effects in the background, with cloud and lichen-like textures, where the colours that go to make the wash naturally separate back into their component colours once on the paper, giving hints of blue and umber.

Full description
As an artist I have been selling my little ACEO paintings for a couple of years now. These are miniature original paintings and drawings, measuring just 2.5x3.5”. Many people love to collect them. What I find interesting is what happens when these tiny originals are scaled up. Enlargement reveals a whole world of subtle colour and brushstrokes that might not otherwise be seen. With this in mind I am now offering prints of some of my previously sold ACEO paintings. This particular print is of one of a series of wolf studies - see the rest of the series elsewhere in my shop.
This picture is printed using archival quality ink on high quality acid free archival matte paper, and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. A beautiful crisp print ready for you to frame.
Printed image size is 5x7 inches with clear paper edging for framing.
Sold unmounted and unframed.
