I saw these super decoupage stamps and thought that, with the right colouring, they would give a storage box a vintage and a more masculine feel - and I hope I have succeeded!
And it is the sort of box that, if personally saw it on a shelf, I would be desperate to find out what was inside it!

Full description
I painted this box in a grey-black base colour and then added layers of a mix wash all over to compliment the colours of the over-sized stamps (black, purple, green, red). The inside is a nice fresh white so that contents can be more easily seen when the box is opened.
The box would obviously suit the stamp collector but has a vintage and multi-purpose storage feel making it very suitable for storing Memories (especially travel, such as postcards and tickets), stationery or jewellery - or anything that the owner wishes!
The box measures 6.75 inches (17cms) wide x 5 inches (13cms) and is 3.75 inches (9.5cms) at its highest point.
