It has been a long hot bank holiday monday (I cant remember the last time we had one of those.)
How appropriate to list an 'Endless summer' bunting dish with the village theme top.
This is a lovely piece, soft panorama of a village close to me, tree line and house next to the church turrets. looped with bunting fluttering inside and out of the bowl.
Dimensions : 23 cm across, 19cm high at the church tower. perfect serving size at the table...we use a similar size for all serving, from salads to veg. (not oven proof)
This is totally hand painted and utterly unique, each of my designs will vary slightly as they are painted individually using foodsafe underglaze colour. I have slip cast this footless bowl and cut the edge. The bunting is 'tied on' using thick colour and you can feel the 'string' under the glaze. It loops and flutters as if it has been blown about by the wind.
I fire to earthenware temperatures and use lead free glaze in my studio in South Norfolk.
I post out using a courier on a 2 day service, and use recycled materials wherever possible (lovingly gathered by my wombling parents)
