This attractive little vase was hand thrown on the potter's wheel and once leatherhard, acoarse texture was brushed onto the outside. After bisque firing, raw oak ash was applied to the top of the pot and it was fired in a gas kiln to around 1285 degrees centigrade, w enough to melt the ash and create a beautiful, natural glaze with a green tinge to it. The inside is glazed with a very light pinky-orange shino.
The piece is fully waterproof and could be used to display (very small) fresh flowers.
It measures just under 2 inches tall and approx. 2.5 inches wide. Carries my personal seal impressed to the underside.
UK postage and packing for this item will be at a fixed cost of £4.00 for delivery by courier. A small extra charge will be required for remote area postcodes IM, HS, ZE.
