Sterling silver hollow form pendant with turquoise cabochon
Handmade from scratch using sterling silver sheet, the hollow form pendant gives the impression of a solid 3D form at the same time being very light due to it's hollow construction
One of my favourite metalwork techniques to do, the pendant is round in shape with a textured front formed by etching the silver sheet with wiggly lines. The back has a light hammered texture and the sides are plain with a light satin texture
A round stabilised turquoise cabochon has been bezel set on the front of the pendant and a handmade silver bail soldered to the back for hanging
The silver has been oxidized and polished for an antique look
The pendant comes with an oxidized 18 inch sterling silver curb chain with ring bolt fastener
Measurements:
Pendant top to bottom inc bail: just over 0.75 inch/20mm
Pendant diameter: 9/16th of an inch/16mm
Turquoise cabochon: 8mm
Depth: 6mm
Chain: 18 inches/46cm
Please note the measurements given - photos are taken in close up which can make items appear larger than they really are!
