Full description
I have created this necklace using large and superbly iridescent freshwater pearls that are baroque shaped - no two are the same. These premium pearls have a grey base tone with green and rose lustre - just stunning. I have teamed these with tiny precious opal button beads from Ethiopia. These opals have the most stunning colour play and are transparent, not white. These opals are also known as Jelly Opals. The necklace also features 9ct yellow gold beads and a gold vermeil magnetic clasp, stamped 925 for sterling silver.
The gems have been hand knotted for fluidity of movement and durability. This stunning necklace measures 18.5 inches or 47cm in length approx. The pearls measure 15mm in length approx, although each one is unique. The precious opals measure 4x2mm approx, again, each one is unique.
Opal is one of the hardest stones to photograph, as the colour play just does not seem to transfer to film easily. Please be assured that each stone has been selected for its excellent colour play and rainbow effect in different lighting conditions. Please note, the stones are transparent and unlike White opals.
