Do you remember the Borrowers by Mary Norton? 'Borrowed Time' is the journal of SPoB (Society for the Preservation of Borrowers), an organisation dedicated to the survival of the Borrower in the 21st century. Read on to find out how YOU can help!
Previously only available in a Borrower-scale miniature edition, 'Borrowed Time' has been re-issued at a scale more suited to the human eye (A6). Printed on 100gsm newsprint-type paper and hand-bound with a simple stitch binding, this edition also includes 6 mailing labels for re-use of envelopes, plus 8 mini labels to use however you wish. All labels bear the 'Borrowers Recycle' logo.
In this 8-page issue of Borrowed Time:
- '...like bread's for butter' - an editorial about contemporary Borrower lifestyle & dangers such as the growing number of illegal Borrower farms
- a Borrowed chronology - listing of Borrowers as they have featured in literature, beginning with the Lilliputians
- Do you believe in Borrowers? - a feature article covering the Borrowers' links to Lilliputian ancestry, references to Borrowers in literature, advice on living in harmony with Borrowers, plus the likelihood of Borrower colonisation in your own home
- mission statement - the SpoB membership manifesto
