I really badly wanted to draw a spaceship with a felt tip pen, so I looked for images that would look great drawn, but not to have too much detail to be difficult to copy by hand 4 times.

This is a capsule from graphic novel Ascent, by Joe Mercurio and Wesley Robins, a story of trainee cosmonaut Yevgeni Yeremin, who volunteers for a risky mission to attempt lunar landing before Apollo 11 in an untested lunar craft. His landing on the dark side of moon is successful, but part of the gear has malfunctioned leaving him no hope of return. Yevgeni descends from the doomed craft to walk on the moon surface, as the lights in the stranded craft gradually go out.
Image is modified with more smoke and more visible lunar surface, all hand painted on four mats.
