I love the appearance of crackled paint, with the colours of the underlying paint showing through.
This subtle duck-egg blue glaze does the same.
For this clock I wanted a subtle design, and the thinking behind the glazes used on this piece was to produce a very abstract soft landscape feeling.
An idea behind a design can provide a unifying feel to a piece, even if - as is especially true for abstracts - those ideas are not necessarily apparent to the viewer.

This round handmade clock has a subtle duck-egg blue glaze with a gentle sheen that varies from the duck-egg blue through subtle greens to browns. The glaze has a crackled surface and through these crackles other colours can be seen.
These ceramic wall clocks are individually handmade and decorated by the New Zealand-born artist-designer-maker John Fraser who now lives in England. Each clock made is individually numbered and photographed.
The clock has a curved face and measures 8.5 inches (21.5cm) across. Glaze dots are positioned at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock for easy reading of the time. This is a handmade ceramic clock, and the hands are gold coloured, with the second hand having a quiet continuous sweep movement.
My hope and intention is that you will find this unique circular clock both useful and beautiful.
