Nothing compares to a wide open beach in North Norfolk....nothing....the people...the dogs...the laughing families....on holiday...visiting friends...locals...beach combers.....meeting up to share a beach hut at Wells.....boat gazing and sandwiches....and, at the end of the day hats off to the lady with the basket...hot thermos and cake with hot chocolate to end another perfect day.

Two lovely holdable mugs with my 'if you dream of sand dunes' design individually painted round the mug. The message in the sand is scratched into the thick paint, it looks like a message that you would have written for your valentine on a long beach walk in North Norfolk.
These mugs are Fab for hot chocolate on the beach...its how we use them, warm your fingers around the nice curve...
10cm high 8cm across the top rim and holding 15fl oz or 400 ml...plenty of room for hot chocolate with a dash of 'with'
I fire to earthenware temperatures in my studio in South Norfolk, using food safe underglaze colours and lead free glaze. Each peice is individually painted, I do not use stamps or transfers, each piece is individual and you can feel the brush strokes under the glaze.
Each piece is back stamped and entitled 'if you dream of sand dunes'
You can decide what your message is on the sand, it needs to be something quite short to fit in nicely...perhaps...
'glad you are here..'
will you marry me?'....and then decide what the other mug will say...!!
I attach a care and makers card to the handle with jute string, I wrap in tissue and then use recycled materials lovingly gathered from shops by my wombling parents. I send out suing first class recorded delivery.
