I wanted to make an understated elf as a Christmas decoration that would look good for the rest of the year ,besides who wants to spend most of their life in a loft !

Girlie Elf is made from coffee and cinnamon dyed linen , sanded back for an aged appearance.Her hair is auburn mohair ,needle felted in place,her eyes little black glass beads and she has an embroidered mouth. The dress is an olive green linen with a vintage mother of pearl button,her stockings are pink and white linen and her boots are painted in black with little rusty bells on the tips.She holds on her lap, the very last Christmas present that she has made, which is contained in a little decorated papier mache box - I shan't tell you what's in it - it's a surprise !
Girlie Elf measures about 38 cms. sitting ,and about 58cms from her feet to the tip of her hat.
She is sold as a collectable and is not suitable for children.
