I was inspired by a little vintage block of a crown that I had bought some time ago. It teamed so well with the utilitarian feel of these great moleskine notebooks. Sadly, the crown had been very badly worn throughout it's hardworking life and became too worn to print with after I had printed an initial batch of these books. Luckily I was able to find a replacement on Ebay which is (almost) as nice and which looks to have quite a lot of life left in it. So relieved!

Variations on this phrase are everywhere but the fit with this little Moleskine cahier notebook was too good to resist! It has a real utilitarian, war time, British feel to it. Just the right size for a breast pocket or handbag. Great little stocking filler for all the list writers out there (or perhaps those who need to be encouraged to get organised?).
Letterpress printed on my vintage press using handset metal type and an old, illustrative, printing block.
Sturdy, card version of the classic Moleskine notebook with exposed stitching on the spine. 64 ruled sheets (the last 16 are detachable) and a little pocket in the back.
Measures 9 x 14 cm (small pocket version of moleskine cahier).
The notebook will arrive wrapped in white tissue and tucked neatly into a kraft envelope tied with bakers' twine ready to give as a gift.
