My figurative work is inspired by the complexities of human nature, I am inspired by a variety of things from Dantes 'Inferno' to childrens fairy tales, to simply observing people going about their daily business. The figures have a slightly emotive feel to them, the position of the head, or a slight tip of the shoulder can completely change the mood of the piece. Some have a slight uncanny feel, some portray the feeling of contentment, and some aren't quite what they seem! I work mainly in clay, hand building each item individually, then crackle glazed to give them their distinctive crackle finish.

Full description
This is a handmade ceramic angel. All my items are slab built, so no two are identical.
The angel is decorated with crackle glaze, and has delicate, turquoise wings. She stands 20cm high and is 9.5cm wide at the widest point.
Remember, an angel is for life, not just for Christmas!
