Full description
This boat is hand-built from lovely white earthenware clay.
I rolled the clay out onto seaweed, to make the texture, and then painted it with coloured slips and stains.
I think the bright red and yellow of the seaweed contrasts beautifully with the glossy, lively green glaze.
The boat is pierced with five portholes on each side, and sails along on a sea of ceramic waves.
It measures aprox. 12cm high by 11cm across.
