This beautiful new Peridot stained glass suncatcher featuring a single large star adorned with wirework spirals and fire polished Czech glass beads is the perfect gift for August birthdays. Peridot, also known as the Evening Emerald, is traditionally the birthstone for August and is said to stand for influence, power, truth, love, loyalty, faithfullness, fame, protection and dignity. Peridot is believed to bring about growth, prosperity and openness.
Suitable as a birthday gift for a friend or loved one born in August, this would also make a perfect gift any time of the year if the recipient was born in that month. You could also purchase one for youself as a special treat if you too were born in August.
Individually handcrafted using traditional methods, the stained glass star was hand cut and wrapped in copper foil and a thin coating of solder applied. Each of the wirework spirals was handcrafted and joined to form the design on the stained glass. A single wirework spiral link, with fire polished Czech glass beads was created and used a link between the glass and the 10cm silver plated chain and hanging ring used to hang the piece.
When hung this piece measures about 24cm long and 10cm wide.
