Childhood holidays on the seafront, come rain or shine. The seagulls would always be there! And even follow us home! They get flippin' everywhere those seagulls!
Birds and nature are a huge inspiration to me. My studio overlooks a green field with a tree right outside my window, so I see a lot of birds. I realised that the noisy ones were seagulls, plodding about on the field and I started to watch them. So it was inevitable that they would end up in my work!

A perfect purse for keeping your holiday spends safe, under the watchful eye of the grumpy seagull.
Reminiscent of childhood holidays where we saw seagulls that ruled the seafront with their grumpy faces and loud squawks. Pinching chips and swooping on unsuspecting seafront strollers.
Three pretty beach huts stand side by side in the background, in pretty seaside colours.
This purse is handmade with love and care in my studio in Northampton. Each piece is handcut - ironed on and then carefully sewn on using free motion embroidery.
The outer is made from stone cotton weave and the purse is fully lined with a pretty pastel stripe cotton.
It measures 18cm x 10cm.
