A signed and editioned original three-colour screenprint featuring Heidi La Large on her unicycle and the McSwirl Snail Brothers on the trapeze and ladder.
Heidi LaLarge, a performing elephant at the Butterscotch & Beesting Circus, has exquisite panache on the highwire thanks to Betty Butterscotch's rather swell humbugs and their added dash Weightlessness Tonic. As you can see from this print, Heidi positively glides across the circus, parasol in hand and elephant ears flapping in the breeze.
The McSwirl brothers achieve equally astounding feats of acrobatics as their fellow Butterscotch & Beesting resident, but sadly these are only ever achieved at a snail's pace, thus audiences inevitably leave before the end of their show. However, the McSwirls are rarely disheartened for they will forever have Betty Butterscotch and Bumblewick Beesting to cheer them on.
This original screenprint measures approximately 25cm high x 20cm wide.
The colours are deliberately offset to emphasise the handmade nature of the print, and each print will vary slightly due to the process. The screenprint is printed on 100% recycled paper using waterbased permanent acrylic inks.
This is an edition of 50.
The print will be packaged in a cello bag and sent between sheets of cardboard in a reinforced envelope.
All Butterscotch & Beesting illustrations, designs, stories and characters are protected by copyright.
