Claire asked me to make a quilt for her nephew who is half Spanish. She found the wonderful hot pink fiesta fabric (although actually getting hold of some to buy was rather a challenge!) and the remaining fabrics were picked out by me to complement it.
I bordered the central strips with a beautiful fresh leaf green and a sea green-blue.......they settle and frame the brightly patterned strips. It is bound in a deeper blue shot cotton which has a hint of green - a perfect match!
I hope it will be enjoyed for many years by Claire's wee nephew.

'Fiesta Fun'............... a custom quilt in a mix of colourful designer fabrics both plain and patterned. The back is soft unbleached cotton flannel with a strip of patchwork to co-ordinate with the front.
Hand sewn binding and mitred corners for neatness. Quilted in random wavy lines across quilt.
Will 'crinkle' slightly with first wash to add to the soft cuddly feel.
Approximately 105 by 70 cm.
Beautifully warm and soft with 50% cotton and 50% bamboo wadding.
Machine wash up to 40 degrees. Wool/delicate wash at 30 degrees preferable for most washes. Line dry or tumble dry low.
