Full description
This gannet print was inspired by a trip to Bempton RSPB reserve, where the cliffs were white with gannets, and the air thick with the aroma of fish.
I worked on the composition back in Holmfirth, using my photographs from the trip to recreate the serpentine forms of the birds, contrasting with the linear bands of rock.
The result is a hand-pressed linocut print using water-based black printing ink, and hand coloured with watercolour.
Printed area 15cm x 20cm, paper size A4. Supplied mounted, ouside mount size 10 x 12 (to fit frame of this size, available on the hight street).
