A simple A-line shift dress made from a very soft, brushed, knitted jersey fabric, in a light pink colour and finished an applique design and 2 pink flower buttons on the shoulders to make dressing baby that bit easier.

The applique dog is created in a grey fleece fabric, with a satin ribbon pink collar.

The dress is intended for a baby of approximate age up to 3 months old. This is just a guide as all babies vary. The pattern measurements list the chest measurement as around 47cm, but the dress itself measures 57 cm chest so there's plenty of room for a slightly larger baby. Plus its a stretch fabric so has a bit of 'give' in it too.
Please measure your baby if unsure of sizing.

The length of the dress from shoulder to hem measures approximately 38cm long.

I like making small items, using those smaller pieces of fabric that have been stashed away.

I made a pink simple A-line style dress, but I thought it looked plain. So I wondered whether I could add that little something to make it more interesting.
I love simple designs too, so using a simple applique design I added a little doggy silhouette and this made all the difference, making it not only more interesting but also individual.
