I obtained some gorgeous vintage tweed from an old gentleman I met at a craft fair. His grandfather had been a tailor and had kept a number of offcuts. This wonderful herringbone tweed was one of them.
I chose to make it into this one of my bag designs as I think the shape and style are ageless, much like the fabric itself. I hope you like it

Full description
A stylish, subtle handbag fashioned from vintage herringbone tweed and faux suede in warm tones of toffee, caramel and brown. The removable brooch embellishment has been fashioned from fabric, leather and a small wooden beads and reflects the print of the lining. The overall effect is one of understated elegance.
Lined with a complementary cotton fabric of a chrysanthemum inspired print. There is a patch pocket inside and a handy little key clip. The bag is secured at the top with a zip closure and snuggles neatly under your arm.
Handcrafted from quality materials this bag is as unique and individual as you. No two bags I make will ever be the same.
Main body: wool tweed, faux suede, interfaced for structure and durability.
Lining: 100% cotton.
Handle: faux suede, hemp cord.
