I attended a demonstration by a local spinning group and spotted this yarn on the table with a number of other samples of the spinner's wares. I loved it so much, I bought the lot. Because of the amount of colour variation in the yarn I believe it is shown to best advantage being knitted on very large pins.

This lovely soft scarf is a one off, due to the nature of the yarn, which is dyed using locally sourced plants and then hand-spun. The colours are warm; ranging from the palest of greens through to a rich chocolaty brown. It has been knitted on large needles and so has an open texture which can be seen if you click on the small photo (above right).
