I love using clay to make a whole array of useful and practical wares. My mum, like many others, loves owls, so I have made a few owl themed things in my time! This owl shaped clock is a real cutie!

Full description
This lovely owl clock was made in my own studio in Devon, and is my own design. It was made by rolling out a slab of clay, rolling a hand-made foam owl indenter over it, and then cutting it into an owl shape. The owl was then fired to 980C.
I hand painted the wings, feather and eye details, using dark green, black and grey glazes, I then dipped the whole thing into a clear gloss glaze. It was then fired again, this time to 1220C.
The clock takes an AA battery (not supplied)
It is approx. 15.5cm tall, and 13cm wide.
