Who doesn't love an owl? I've been a bit owl obsessed for a few years now, so I thought I'd try and alleviate that a bit by making a few owl brooches using shrink plastic. I can't tell you how much fun it is to put a larger version of your design in the oven and watch it curl and shrink down, down, down! I'm not sure I've succeeded here in keeping my owl obsession on the down low, though. If anything, it's grown! I might have to keep one or two of these for myself....
This particular brooch measures approximately 53mm x 58mm and is finished with a light coating of varnish, and a 20mm brooch pin (with safety catch) securely glued to the underside. Each brooch comes mounted on a card and in a stripy paper bag, ready for giving, or just for treating yourself.
Please note, due to the nature and charm of the plastic used, there may be slight variations in the size and colour of each brooch.
